NGC7662 is best known as the Blue Snowball Nebula. It is a planetary nebula that is just forming.  The interior star is beginning its end-of-life cycle, but still illuminating the nebula from within. While exceedingly bright, it is very compact, with the inner core area only measuring about 15 arc-seconds across (about the size of a dinner plate from a few miles away!).

This is likely my highest resolution result ever from my telescope system. Within the core of the nebula, we see exceedingly small details.  I'm still developing new methods on processing for ultimate detail.  As much as I enjoy processing that core, the extended structures are also a huge challenge and needed almost 30 hours of exposure to reveal.   I hope you like the end product as much as I do!
